My in-laws and nephews were in town visiting last week and knowing how much kids loves cake (well, pretty much anything sweet), I thought I'd let the boys decorate a cake of their own.
I used some leftover fondant and covered two 5" funfetti cakes I'd made. I even put their names on them so they'd know who's cake was whose.
More time was spent trying to negotiate how much of the fondant they could eat after cutting out flowers and shapes, than decorating, but they had fun. I did too!! Dd (darling daughter) enjoyed watching and trying to get her hands on gobs of fondant. I look forward to the day she's old enough to try her hand at it.
