I got a VERY last minute cake request from a friend of a friend of my husband's, who's familiar with many of the cakes I've done. He wanted a cake for his friend's birthday giving only four day's notice, asking that it be a smaller round, red velvet and to somehow incorporate his friend's three least favorite things: tomatoes, olives and coconut. Um, helloooo, random. But I agreed. Here's what he got:
